Breast surgery
Procedures for the breast
When considering breast surgery, visiting a specialist plastic surgeon is often the best way to achieve a comprehensive assessment of your concerns and goals. From breast augmentation to breast reconstruction, breast reduction to breast asymmetry correction, Dr Tony Moore can help you. He will work closely with you so the procedure considered is the right one for the outcome you are seeking.

Breast augmentation
Augmentation increases breast volume with an implant. Implant type, position, size and the need for later maintenance are discussed before any decision. It does not lift a breast that sits low unless a lift is added.
Breast reconstruction
Reconstruction rebuilds a breast after mastectomy or lumpectomy, or for a congenital difference. It may use an implant, your own tissue, or both. It is often more than one operation, and the result is a reconstruction, not a return to the breast you had.
Breast reduction
Reduction removes breast tissue and skin, and reshapes what remains. It is often considered when size causes neck, shoulder or back symptoms, as well as for the change in size.
Breast lift
A lift raises and reshapes a breast that sits low, without a large change in volume. Skin is removed and the breast tissue is reshaped.
Breast revisional surgery
Revisional surgery is an operation after previous breast surgery. It may change an implant, treat scar tissue around an implant, correct the pocket, or revise a scar.
Breast asymmetry correction
Asymmetry surgery reduces a difference in size, shape or position. It may use a reduction, a lift, an implant, or a combination of these.
Tuberous breast correction
A tuberous breast has a tight base, a high fold and often a protruding areola. Surgery releases the tight tissue and reshapes the breast. An implant is sometimes used. More than one operation is sometimes needed.
Male breast (gynaecomastia)
This operation reduces male breast enlargement by removing gland, fat, or both. Medical causes are considered before surgery. The scar and the amount of skin removed depend on how much tissue is present.
