Dr Tony Moore, MBBS, FRACS

Training and practice

Dr Tony Moore is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon consulting in Adelaide and at Stirling Hospital. He completed postgraduate qualifications in plastic surgery in Adelaide, including work with the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Craniofacial Unit. In 1985 and 1986 he undertook further training at Mt Vernon Hospital in London and the Eppendorf Clinic in Hamburg.

His practice covers reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, body and hand, together with clinic-based skin treatments provided after consultation. Patients attend from metropolitan Adelaide, regional South Australia, interstate and overseas. Telehealth is used where a video consultation is appropriate; it does not replace examination before cosmetic surgery.

Dr Moore has a long-standing interest in laser in plastic surgery and has lectured and taught in that field, including as invited faculty of the World Association of Laser Therapists. He has advocated the use of secure information technology to support regional clinics. He has also provided voluntary surgical and teaching work in Asia and the Middle East, and has treated children brought to Australia by Rotary Overseas Medical Aid for Children. Rotary awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2000.
